Our friend—and one of the absolute heavyweights of cocktail writing—Robert Simonson, award-winning author and New York Times and Wall Street Journal cocktail and spirits writer, is returning to Speak of the Devil to celebrate his brand-new book, “Bourbon and Rye Cocktails: The History of American Whiskey in 73 Recipes”.

Which would already be plenty cool.

But our very own Gingerman cocktail is in the damn book.

So, yeah. We’re a little geeked.

Doors open at 6pm for a cocktail-hour mix & mingle with Robert. Grab a drink, talk whiskey, cocktails, bars and books, then at 7pm we’ll sit down with Robert to talk about the new book, his other work, the cocktail world and whatever rabbit holes we wander into—followed by a Q&A.

Tickets are $45 per person / $80 per couple and include admission, a copy of “Bourbon and Rye Cocktails” signed by Robert, and a cocktail from a special menu featuring some of our favorites from the book.

A world-class cocktail writer. A brand-new book about American whiskey. A room full of people who probably care a little too much about what’s in their glass. Some really good drinks.
