TURNTABLE TUESDAY

Turntable Tuesday is back.
Which sounds like an “event,” but really it’s just Tuesday night around here with a turntable spinning, a stack of records nearby and somebody inevitably saying, “Oh shit, I haven’t heard this in YEARS.”
And that’s pretty much the whole idea.
Bring a record if you’ve got something you want to hear. Don’t bring one if you don’t. You absolutely do not need to know pressing dates, matrix numbers or the complete personnel on some obscure 1973 jazz record to participate.
You just need to like music.
Our friends from Ship to Shore Books & Music will be hanging around with some records to dig through, we’ll be making drinks, and the soundtrack will wander wherever the room takes it.
Could be soul. Could be punk. Could be jazz, Bowie, yacht rock, Nigerian funk or something somebody found in their uncle’s basement.
That’s the fun of it.
